A time of yeses.

You know that old saying about when life brings you lemons?

Yesterday was one of those lemonade days.  A day after you've had lemons that you have ignored.

Last week I has some significant, to me, health issues that left me out of commission for a few days.  Nothing that big but enough that I knew something was up and that I didn't have the answer.  Couldn't even ask the right questions to find the right answer.

Yesterday after chit chatting with a friend she pointedly asked "How have you been?" And I told her.

I am so thankful for that interaction.  For the light she was able to shed on the situation. For a name so I could look for information.  Grateful and blessed for the answers to come sooner than later.  To come from a friend.  To come when I'm not in pain and can listen.  Yet the pain, dizziness, and nauseous recent enough that I am willing to listen.

Information that will force changes in my diet that I've long said I was willing to make ... with the right motivation.  Options that I know exist and like but haven't been willing to do the work because I didn't *need* to. :) Well, now I need to.

The trigger foods turn out to be my entire breakfast and my daily snacks.  They are all listed on the short list of things to avoid.

The eat list contains, among others, 2 foods that I've often thought "When I am a real grown up I will find a way to eat those." :) I have been provided the opportunity to do just that.

The up shot is that I'll go back to juicing after a 13+ year hiatus.  I'll eat significantly more raw foods. Mom would be proud.

The icing on the cake, if you will, was as I left the dear friend, before I knew what changes I would have to make, a 3rd and 4th friend were taking about how much #3 had lost after going returning to a raw lifestyle.  Little did I know that that raw and juicing was soon to be part of my life again.  After 5+ weeks of a new workout program and a loss of 4 pound (and no change in the way clothing fits) I am ready for raw and juicing in hopes to see some actual changes in my body.

It is all good and I am excited to be on this new branch of my journey.

Fabric Bucket/Basket

I need a fabric bucket/basket.

I've been FLYing in my garden, front and back. What that means is 10m a day weeding. Some days front, some days back. And weeding only until I'm on top of it and then I can branch out. ... it could happen :D lol ok ok it WILL happen.

Point is that I use plastic grocery bags to hold the weeds. Then toss the weeds in the green waste and the bag into the recycle bag thing.

Problem is that since I'm being so good about using fabric bags for shopping or... the best tip ever... not using a bag at all from the store and then, because of course I've left the bags in the car, emptying the shopping cart directly into the bags that are in the car for easy transport into the house. Oh... the problem... that's right... we don't have nearly the bags we used to and I'd like to find a way to do away with the use of the plastic bags all together.

So I've see fabric buckets and now I need to make one.

Here are the links that I just found via google.

Pippijoe is the one I'm sure I was thinking of in my minds eye. Fabric Basket

Instructibles has one that is collapsible and has a handle. Collapsible Bucket

Ric-Rac has a smaller version Back with Buckets

Oh I just love the shape of this one pictured here at Remodelista.

It is from Lotta Jansdotter OMG! I am just drooling over her stuff.

Smaller bucket out of recycled denim.

Bagsket tutorial. from foofangle

I guess I need to finish cleaning up my sewing area so I can actually sew. ... hummmm blog, read, workout, clean to sew.... tough choices. Who knows what I'll chose.

Thoughts on a book

I was so excited to read this book.

Poetry, giving it another shot.
Knowing the author... a little bit.
Thinking that there were more similarities than differences.

Alas, I did find 2 poems that I could relate to.

One because it describes my reality, location, home.

The other because it makes me chew and nod, chew and nod.

From the book photographed.

Coloring Book
This generation draws the lines.
This generation draws inside the lines.
This generation draws outside the lines.
This generation gets rid of the lines.
This generation cries "wee wee wee" all the way home.
Then the kids of the "wee wee wee" generation draw the
lines.
And then their kids draw inside the lines.
And then the next generation draws outside the lines.
Then the next generation gets rid of the line.
And the next generation cries "wee wee wee" all the way
home.

I think I know which generation I am but I'm hoping, I am praying, that my children are not the generation that makes them.

I like to think that our family is taking multiple generations to get though some of those steps.

Things to ponder. Wonders to wonder.

Is it poetry or is it me?

I always thought that I didn't like, didn't get, poetry.

It made me feel dumb, ignorant, lacking.

So far different that I just didn't understand.

But NOW I get it.

It is me.

It is me.

On the playground and at the park.

I don't have those common threads that everyone else bonds over.

I don't hate.

Hate my kids, hate my husband, hate my job, hate my family, hate my life.

I wasn't abused, underprivileged, unloved, nor do I lack self-esteem.

I am me.

Because of that, I can view your reality through the lens you share with me.

Because of that, your dh bashing on the playground locks me out.

Because of that, finding poetry that resonates may be a lost cause.

I am me and I am proud to be.
